Synchro Judging Courses

The NW Region are running a range of courses for those wishing to qualify to become a synchro judge at various levels, or to update their existing judging qualifications to move in line with the new grading structure.  Courses are being run at both levels – please see the chart below to ensure that you are applying to attend the correct type and level of course dependant on your current qualifications/experience.  Only qualifications for judging will count for level 2 courses.  If you previously hold an assessors’ qualification but no judging qualifications then you will need to attend the full Level 1 course.  The NW Region will refund the cost of the course for all those who attend on the day.

Please see the events pages for details of the individual courses.

Please direct any questions about the courses to Sarah Clarke.

CoPA Shine at the Nationals!

It was a successful weekend for CoPA at the ASA National Age Group Championships last weekend.  20 swimmers made the trip to Gloucester and achieved the following noteworthy results:

  • Daisy qualified to swim her solo and finished 6th (out of 12 who qualified) in the 13-15 solos
  • Daisy & Leah also qualified to swim their duet in the 13-15 age category and finished 8th
  • Rhea & Tilly swam their duet in the 15-18 age category and finished 7th
  • The 12 and under “Little Monsters” combination team (Abby, Elizabeth, Emily, Eve, Evie, Immy, Natasha, Nema, Rachel and Sofia) swam an outstanding routine to finish an impressive 9th out of 26 teams.  Many of these swimmers have only been with CoPA for less than 12 months!
  • The 13-15 free team (Daisy, Izzy, Leah and Olivia) finished 11th
  • The 19 & under combination team (Ana, Isabel, Olivia, Sophie, Rhea and Tilly) finished 2nd out of 17 to take a well deserved silver medal!
